The information on the following page will develop as we constantly embark upon new work or progress existing projects.

Every project will include provision for training in the practical trade skills necessary for the repair and restoration of traditional buildings. Such work is generally labour and skill-intensive, but economical of energy, processed materials, manufactured components and other non-renewable resources. Labour is frequently plentiful, but skills scarce, so it will bring wider and longer term environmental benefits.

In most projects with which the Trust is involved, there will be a training element. UK based conservation professionals visiting site to provide guidance, undertake research, analysis or survey work will incorporate carefully directed training into their programme.

The Trust will collaborate with national bodies and locally based organisations to boost existing training endeavours.
